Getting started
The questions almost every first-time buyer asks in the first call.
What capacity plant should I install?+
Work backwards from distribution, not from budget. A single-district launch is a 30 BPM line. Multi-district regional distribution is 60 BPM — the most-installed configuration in India. Inter-state and modern trade need 90–120 BPM. National co-packing sits at 240 BPM and above. If you are testing a market or leading with 20L jars, a semi-automatic 1000 LPH line is the lower-risk start, and its water house carries forward when you upgrade.
How much space do I need?+
For covered production shed: roughly 800–1,200 sq.ft. for a semi-automatic line, 1,500–2,000 for 30 BPM, 3,000–4,000 for 60 BPM, 5,000–7,000 for 120 BPM. Add stores, a QC laboratory and finished-goods space on top — total plot is usually two to three times the shed area. We issue a layout drawing against your actual plot before you commit to any civil work.
How long from order to first production?+
Machinery commissioning: 4–7 weeks for a pouch plant, 6–8 weeks for 30 BPM, 8–11 weeks for 60 BPM, 12–16 weeks for 120 BPM, 18–22 weeks for 240 BPM. Licensing runs in parallel and is usually the longer path — start the BIS application alongside the plot, not after commissioning.
Do I need to own the land?+
No, leased premises are fine and very common. What matters for licensing is that you have documented legal possession, an adequate water source, sanctioned three-phase power, and a layout that satisfies hygiene zoning. A short lease can complicate the pollution board consent, so check the tenure before signing.

Why we quote rather than publish list prices, and what actually moves the number.
Why is there no price on the website?+
Because a published number would be wrong for almost everyone who read it. Two customers asking for the same "60 BPM plant" routinely differ by a wide margin once you account for feedwater quality, whether the scope is machinery-only or turnkey, how many SKUs they run and what utilities already exist on site. We quote against your actual requirement instead, and the quotation is itemised so you can see exactly what each block costs.
What information do you need to quote?+
Target output in BPM or litres per hour, bottle or pack sizes, a borewell water analysis if you have one, plot dimensions and whether a shed exists, sanctioned power, and whether you want machinery only or full turnkey. With those, a quotation with a layout drawing goes out within 24 hours.
Do you help with project finance?+
We do not lend, but we supply the documentation banks and NBFCs ask for — itemised machinery quotation, technical specification, plant layout and a project report format. Is installation included in the price?+
In a turnkey contract, yes — erection, commissioning, trial runs and training are in scope. For standalone machinery, installation is quoted separately as a line item, because some customers have their own engineering teams and prefer to do it themselves.
Licensing & compliance
What you legally need before you sell a single bottle.
What licences does a packaged drinking water plant need?+
A BIS licence under IS 14543, an FSSAI manufacturing licence, state pollution control board consent to establish and consent to operate, a groundwater NOC from CGWB or the state authority, a factory or trade licence, and GST registration. Natural mineral water follows IS 13428 instead of IS 14543 and has its own source-characterisation requirements.
Do I need a BIS licence if the water is not for sale?+
Yes. Bottling packaged drinking water requires BIS certification and an FSSAI licence whether you sell it, supply it free to guests, or distribute it internally. Captive plants at hotels, hospitals and campuses are inspected on exactly the same basis as commercial ones.
What does BIS require in the QC laboratory?+
An in-house lab capable of the daily tests the standard specifies — pH, TDS, turbidity, residual ozone, appearance — plus microbiological testing with an incubator, autoclave, laminar flow bench and membrane filtration. You also need a qualified chemist on the premises and written test records. This is one of the most common reasons certification gets delayed, so we specify the lab at project stage rather than at the end.
Is a juice or soft drink plant licensed differently?+
Yes. Juice, flavoured water, RTS and carbonated drinks are FSSAI product standards, not BIS packaged water standards. The plant hygiene expectations are comparable but the technical file, labelling rules and product testing differ. Export and institutional buyers will additionally expect HACCP or FSSC 22000, which the plant should be designed to support from the start.

The variable that changes plant design more than any other.
Why do you insist on a water test report before quoting?+
Because feedwater determines the entire treatment train. The same plant on 400 ppm Doon valley water and on 2,800 ppm Jodhpur water are genuinely different machines with different capex, different recovery and different running cost. Quoting without the analysis means either over-specifying and losing the order, or under-specifying and failing on site.
What is the maximum TDS you can handle?+
Twin-pass RO with high-recovery staging handles feedwater to around 3,500 ppm comfortably. Beyond that it remains technically possible but recovery falls, reject volumes climb and running cost rises sharply — at which point the honest advice is often to find a better source rather than to build a bigger plant.
My RO membranes keep failing early. Why?+
Almost always something upstream reaching the membrane — iron, hardness, chlorine or high turbidity. Membranes should give 2–4 years. When plants see 6–12 months, fixing the pre-treatment costs a fraction of what repeated membrane replacement does. Iron in particular is the recurring culprit across the Gangetic belt, the terai and the North East.
What do I do with RO reject water?+
Reuse it wherever quality permits — cooling tower make-up, floor washing, gardening, toilet flushing. Where your pollution board consent requires it, an ETP or zero-liquid-discharge system handles the rest. Plan this at design stage; retrofitting reject management is considerably more expensive than building it in.

How many people does a plant need?+
Per shift: 4–5 for a semi-automatic line, 5–6 for 30 BPM, 6–8 for 60 BPM, 8–10 for 120 BPM, plus a qualified chemist and a supervisor. Automation reduces headcount at the filling block but not in stores, dispatch or QC, which is where the count usually surprises first-time operators.
What is your warranty?+
Twelve months on mechanical parts and six months on electricals from commissioning, covering manufacturing defects. Wear parts and consumables are excluded, as is damage from operating outside the specified feedwater or utility conditions. Extended AMC cover is available.
How fast can you get an engineer to my plant?+
Within 24 hours across Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana and western UP; typically 24–48 hours elsewhere in North India. Phone and WhatsApp support runs around the clock and resolves a large share of faults without a site visit.
Do you service plants supplied by other manufacturers?+
Yes — AMC, troubleshooting and retrofit work on other makes is a substantial part of what we do. We will also tell you plainly when a machine is beyond economic repair rather than selling a rebuild that will not hold.
Can I upgrade my existing line instead of replacing it?+
Usually, and it is often the better decision. Most plants that call us do not need a new line — they need the one block that is missing. Deaeration for carbonation that will not hold, iron removal for short membrane life, a homogeniser for product separation, a CIP skid for audit readiness.
