Overview

Built for the way your line actually runs.

A turnkey RTD beverage plant with tea and coffee extraction, clarification, blending, pasteurisation and hot-fill or aseptic packing for iced tea, cold coffee and electrolyte drinks.

Ready-to-drink tea and coffee are growing faster than any other non-carbonated category in urban India, and both are extraction problems before they are filling problems. Tea extracted too hot or too long turns astringent and hazes on cooling; coffee over-extracted turns bitter and loses aroma. This line uses a controlled-temperature counter-current extraction vessel, immediate cooling, and a cold clarification stage that prevents tea cream haze from forming in the bottle. Electrolyte and glucose drinks run on the same blending and filling back-end with a simpler front end.

Frequently Asked

Common questions.

Why does my bottled iced tea go cloudy?+

Tea cream — polyphenols and caffeine complexing as the extract cools. It is prevented by cold clarification after extraction, sometimes assisted by a tannase treatment. Adding clarification is usually a straightforward retrofit.

Can one line run tea, coffee and electrolyte drinks?+

Yes. The extraction front end differs, but blending, pasteurisation and filling are shared. We plan the CIP sequence carefully because coffee residues carry over into tea flavour more than most operators expect.
