A packaged drinking water plant with a copper contact / ionisation stage, inline copper concentration control and traceability, for brands selling copper (tamra) water.

Copper water sells on an Ayurvedic proposition, but it is regulated on a toxicological one — copper in packaged drinking water is capped by BIS, and an uncontrolled copper vessel infusion drifts well past that limit as contact time varies. This line replaces "store it in a copper pot" with a metered process: RO permeate passes through a controlled copper contactor, an inline analyser reads concentration, and dosing residence time is trimmed automatically. You get a consistent, defensible ppm value on every batch, plus the QC records to support it during a BIS surveillance audit.

Is copper water allowed under BIS packaged drinking water rules?+

Copper is a permitted parameter with a maximum limit, not a banned one. The engineering requirement is that you stay inside that limit consistently, which is exactly what the inline analyser and trim control are for. We supply the QC record format your BIS auditor will ask for.

Why not just use copper vessels for storage?+

Because concentration then depends on contact time, surface area and temperature — all of which vary. That produces batches above and below your label claim. A metered contactor keeps the value inside a narrow, testable band.
